I’m so proud to announce the official premiere of the new video for my song “Keanuville,” directed by Micah Van Hove with animation by Susan Chien.
A little background…I thought I was a big Keanu Reeves fan until I went to see his band Dogstar perform. It was there I learned that in the spectrum of Keanu obsession, I am a very small player. (Check out the hundreds of fan-made YouTube videos if you doubt me.) In particular, a conversation I had with the woman sitting next to me was so compelling that I had to write down everything she said and write a song.
The video stars the amazing Sasha Ilford Heslip as the fan. I’m thrilled with her performance and the directing skills of Micah Van Hove who, by the way, is only 20 years old. I’m also delighted to have stumbled on the work of Susan Chien, who animated the dream sequence. Finally, I’m grateful to all the folks who funded the production of this video via Kickstarter.
