As I mentioned, I’m going to the South by Southwest conference/festival this year. I’m going to keep a regular blog about it here, so if you’re curious about this crazy, essential music/film/interactive extravaganza, check back, especially between March 13 – 18th.

Here is a preliminary list of my favorite band names (parental guidance suggested), of the 1000′s (official and unofficial) scheduled to perform:

I Love You But I’ve Chosen Darkness
Reyjavik!
Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly.
Cute Is What We Aim For
Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin
The Faintest Ideas
O’Death
Alabama Thunderpussy
Attractive and Popular
The Cynics
Die! Die! Die!
Holy Fuck
Holy Shit!
How I Became the Bomb
I Can Lick Any Sonofabitch in the House
Jack-O and the Tennessee Tearjerkers

More to come…

A: Militia Etheridge.

Q: How many Deadheads does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
A: None. Deadheads screw in sleeping bags.

Yes, I’m a big sucker, but I loved “Music and Lyrics.” I loved the 80′s music video, loved the pop songstress with her giant Buddha, was tickled that they showed Protools onscreen–and was horrified to see myself and my friends as EXACTLY THE SAME AGE as the moms swooning over Hugh Grant’s character! It was just as predictable and silly and cute as I expected.
